About Internetbay

InternetBay is a market driven cluster, owned and steered by its members. It was created by the local IT industry as a crucial component in its growth strategy.

The aim is through unique co-work to utilize the power and competence in the region and thereby position the region as a world leader in technology, and products for mobile and fixed-network Internet.

The focus is on distance spanning and mobile applications within our core competence areas; control & regulation, telecom, healthcare and learning. Our fields of technological competence include the Internet, mobility, biotech, healthcare, music & media, simulators, distance work and embedded systems.

The Task of InternetBay is to assemble and utilize the power from all IT/Telecom, healthcare and process industry companies and act as a bridge between industry, university and authorities in connection with joint projects.

Our catchment area is the Bothnian Arch from Umeå, Sweden to Vaasa, Finland.

InternetBay has a slimmed core organisation whose task is to act as a motor and co-ordinator to utilize the skills and ideas in our existing industries and organisations.
